Freescale unveils magnetic memory chip
Achieving a long-sought goal of the $48 billion memory chip industry, Freescale Semiconductor Inc. announced the commercial availability of a chip that combines traditional memory's endurance with a hard drive's ability to keep data while powered down.

PulseWave RF(TM), Inc. (formerly PropheSi Technologies(TM), Inc.), a fabless semiconductor company providing modules for the wireless infrastructure market, today announced that it closed a $30 million Series C funding round led by Oak Investment Partners. Existing PulseWave RF investors, including Austin Ventures, Bay Partners and Genesis Campus, also participated in the round. PulseWave RF will use the funding to commercialize its Class M Power amplifier module, the industry's first digital power amplifier architecture for wireless base stations.
